Everything you need
The core pieces for reliable hosted GitHub backups.
Change-aware backups
Check repositories hourly and create restore points when GitHub activity changes.
Daily safety points
Keep protecting quiet repositories with a daily safety backup even when they sit untouched.
Encrypted storage
Store backup artifacts encrypted in transit and at rest.
Practical retention
Keep recent restore history for a week, then weekly restore points for a month.
GitHub project context
Protect repository data plus pull requests, issues, releases, settings, and wikis on higher tiers.
Critical replicas
Replicate key Pro restore points to a second storage location for redundancy.
Questions
Clear answers before you choose a plan.
Can I change my plan?
Yes. You can move between hosted plans as your repository coverage changes.
Are backups created every hour?
GitRescue checks repositories hourly and creates a new restore point when there are changes. Unchanged repositories still receive a daily safety backup.
What happens to old untouched repositories?
They stay protected. We keep taking daily safety backups and always keep the latest successful restore point after retention pruning.
Are Pro replicas a copy of every backup?
No. Pro replicas cover critical restore points: the latest successful backup plus the retained daily and weekly restore points.
What payment methods do you accept?
Self-serve subscriptions are handled through Stripe.
Where do my backups live?
Hosted backups live in encrypted object storage managed by GitRescue. Pro adds second-location replicas for critical restore points.
